‘To fully express oneself can be a challenge but if done with authenticity the purpose will ring true’

 ~ Amanda Latham

I have a varied, creative background with a few detours along the way. From my initial journey attending Grays Art School in 1994 to completing a BA Honours in Computer Animation & Digital Art - with a HND in Graphic Design somewhere in the middle. Alongside my studies I have over 20 years retail experience both customer facing, management and sales. Combined they led me to the next stage of my career.

For the past 8 years I have run my own personal/wardrobe styling service which entails working with over 200 plus men/women to feel, as quoted by one lovely client, ‘like a million dollars’ and another ‘utterly life-changing’.  I absolutely love helping others identify their style and regain confidence - this extends to many channels.

In the past I have been lead stylist on a brand advert, charity photoshoot, worked backstage at a Julian Macdonald Fashion Show for London College of Style, Personal Stylist for the Eastgate, Inverness - hosted Intimate Style and larger Charity Events to over 150 guests, and so much more.

To navigate a difficult time in my personal life I picked up my paintbrushes again, almost as a form of therapy and escape. I’ve since had two successful exhibitions which has now naturally evolved into designing a collection of jewellery/home accessories (produced locally by Jane McDonald Designs). I believe in the power of storytelling through design. Each wearable art piece or home accessory tells a story, whether inspired by the Land, City and Seascapes of the Scottish Highlands or the unique narrative of the wearer.

I also combine all of above with co-creating digital content for a local independent Bakehouse - XOKO. I have a great passion for food - talking, creating and of course eating!

There’s never any limit to the ideas in my mind, just the time to realise them all! Very often it’s also a small (or big) matter of confidence so I hope this inspires others to come forward and share their talents.

To believe in oneself is the greatest gift…
