When I visited Findochty with my in-laws I fell in love with the beautiful views but most of all for some reason, the rocks - colours, textures, formations and knew I needed to paint them.
With the use of photos (for reference) my memories, sketches AND wooden chopsticks* to paint ~ the mind has been calmed
After studying more techniques I worked into this a bit more to create the depth & texture that was needed to evoke the evolvement that you often find on the rocky shores…

* I can’t help myself when you get to pick your own utensils, condiments etc (seriously) )so after a visit to ‘ITSU’ I picked too many by mistake…oops!
A Giclée print (or fine art print) uses professional equipment with archival quality inks. It is identical to the original, lasts between 50-75 years, the image won't fade - and the paper won't yellow or discolour over time.
